🦅 This Weekend
EagleFest at Teatown Lake Reservation — Ossining
February 7 | 10am–3pm | Free
Every February, hundreds of bald eagles migrate along the Hudson River — and Teatown's annual EagleFest is the best place in the county to see them. Naturalists are on hand with spotting scopes, there's hot cocoa, bird-themed merchandise, and enough enthusiasm to make even non-birders feel the magic. Located right here in Ossining at 1600 Spring Valley Road. No registration required.
Frost Fest — Tarrytown
February 1–2 | Downtown Tarrytown | Free
Tarrytown's winter street festival returns with local vendors, food, warm drinks, and live music along Main Street. It's the kind of event that reminds you why you live here. Bundle up and bring the kids.
Dancing with the Stars Live — White Plains
February 10 & 11 | Westchester County Center | Tickets from $45
If you or someone you love has ever yelled at the TV on Monday nights, this one's for you. The touring production of the hit show brings ballroom dancing, sequins, and professional performers to the County Center stage.
Comedy Night — White Plains
February 14 | Tre Angelina, White Plains | Tickets vary
Valentine's Day doesn't have to be a fancy dinner. Westchester Comedy Club's Valentine's show at Tre Angelina is a great date night — or anti-Valentine's — option. Reservations recommended.
Winter Hike at Croton Point Park — Croton-on-Hudson
All weekend | Free parking on weekends
Croton Point Park's 508 acres sit on a peninsula along the Hudson River, making it one of the most scenic winter walks in the county. Pack a thermos and go. If the ponds are frozen solid, you may even catch some impromptu ice skating nearby at Teatown.
🍽️ New & Notable
Felice — Port Chester
The well-regarded Italian restaurant group behind multiple NYC locations just opened its first Westchester outpost in Port Chester at 55 Abendroth Ave. Expect Tuscan-inspired dishes, a serious wine list, and the kind of warm, polished atmosphere that makes a Tuesday feel like a special occasion.
Meraki Taverna Expansion — Armonk
The beloved Greek spot on Main Street in Armonk is knocking down a wall and adding 50–60 seats plus a second bar. Expect it open by mid-February. If you haven't been, it's one of the county's most consistent restaurants.
Nadas — Harrison
Mother-and-son duo Olga and Carlos Santos recently opened this vibrant spot specializing in gluten-free Hispanic cuisine. Their rainbow empanadas are already getting attention. Worth a trip to Harrison.
📍 Good to Know
Hilltop Hanover Farm Winter Market is open the first Saturday of each month (next one: March 1) from 10am–4pm in Yorktown Heights. Locally grown produce, and about 10% of what they grow is donated to local food pantries.
Metro-North reminder: If you're heading into the city for a Super Bowl watch party this weekend, check schedules in advance — weekend service on some lines runs on reduced frequency.
Westchester Newsletter goes out every week with the best local events, new restaurant openings, and community news from across the county. Forward this to a neighbor who'd love it — and if someone forwarded it to you, subscribe free below.
